Emergency First Aid at Work
HSE-recognised one day training course. This is designed to give first aid responders a comprehensive set of practical skills needeed by first aiders in most workplaces to deal with first aid emergencies. It meets the Health and Safety (First aid) Regulations 1981 and 1982 (Northern Ireland).

This course is designed for people who want to receive emergency first aid at work training.WHAT DO I NEED?
The minimum entry requirement is a good understanding of spoken and written English. If you have concerns in this area, please call us on 01275 398 665. The minimum age of attendance for this course is 14 years old, however delegates who are under the age of 18 must bring a completed parental consent form to the first day of the training course. A student cannot assume a responsibility in the workplace until they reach the age of 16, and then it is the employer's responsibility to ensure that the student is suitable for that role.HOW LONG IS THE COURSE?

- Assessment of situation
- Dealing with unresponsive casualty
- Basic hygiene in first aid
- Resuscitation and AED Awareness
- Minor Injuries
- Bleeding control
Practical assessments by the instructor.WHAT WILL I GET WHEN I PASS THE COURSE?
Three year qualification.
HSE strongly recommends to undergo an annual refresher programme of three hours.
