City and Guilds developed Working in Confined Spaces Training Programme. The courses are designed to provide a detailed understanding of safety requirements when assessing, planning and carrying out work in confined space environments.

City & Guilds 6160-09 - Entrant and Entry Controller for Confined Spaces - Medium Risk

2 days course. Certificate valid for 3 years.
City and Guilds Level 2 Award in Entrant and Entry Controller for Confined Spaces Medium Risk 6160-09.This ‘Medium Risk’ confined spaces training is for any candidate that might work in any of the following (this list is not exhaustive): tanks, silos, sewers and vats, construction, mines, quarries and tunnelling. As well as any environment that could be considered a confined space.

City & Guilds 6160-03 - Working in High Risk Confined Spaces

3 days course. Certificate valid for 3 years.
City and Guilds Level 2 Award in Working in High Risk Confined Spaces 6160-03. This 3 days course is a qualification for all those who are required to work, as part of their main job, in confined spaces which have been classified as high risk. Training is undertaken within regulation guidelines and once completed, learners should have gained enough knowledge to pass the assessment and enter high risk confined spaces.

City & Guilds 6160-08 - Working as a Member of a Rescue and Recovery team in Confined Spaces

2 days course. Certificate valid for 3 years.
City and Guilds Level 3 Award in Working as a Member of a Rescue and Recovery team in Confined Spaces 6160-08. This course is a qualification for all those who are required to work, as part of their main job, who may be required to make an emergency evacuation from a confined space using escape breathing apparatus, enter into confined space with full working breathing apparatus to carry out a variety of work activities or carry out basic first aid.

City & Guilds 6151-02 - Tunnel Entry and Associated Emergency Procedures

1 dayCertificate valid for 3 years.
City & Guilds - 6151-02 Level 2 Tunnel Entry and Associated Emergency Procedures. It is for candidates who work or want to work in the tunnelling industry during tunnel and or shaft construction activities. The qualification covers safe entry and emergency procedures in tunnels and shafts under construction.
